Welcome to a bus and boat trip to the rock paintings of Astuvansalmi and Puumala!

On this excursion you will learn about ancient history, cruise in the magnificent lake scenery of Lake Saimaa and stop at the magnificent Sahanlahti Resort and Pistohiekka Resort, where you can also stay longer. You can hop on the tour bus from either Mikkeli city centre or Ristiina. We board the Aino ship from the Varkaantaipale canal

This full-day boat trip from Mikkeli via the rock paintings of Astuvansalmi to Puumala takes place on Wednesdays of even weeks: 26 June, 10 July, 24 July and 7 August.

Schedule:
9:00 Departure by bus from Mikkeli Matkakeskus
9:05 Departure from the Mikkeli marketplace charter bus stop
9:30 am Departure from the bus stop at Ristiina Market
10:00 Cruise departs from Varkaantaipalee canal
10:45 Visit to the rock paintings (visiting time about 45 minutes)
From 11:30 a.m., possibility to enjoy a lunch on board (lunch is at your own cost)
15:30 Stop at Pistohieka (possibility to stay at the destination for lunch and hop on the return bus from the car park at around 18:00)
17:00 Stop at Sahanlahti (possibility to stay at the destination for lunch and board the return bus from the car park at around 17:45)
17:30 the ship arrives at Puumala harbour, from where the return bus departs via Sahanlahti and Pistohieka towards Mikkeli. Arrival in Mikkeli at about 19:15.
