The Puumala Archipelago Route is a new and spectacular scenic route for pedestrians and motorcyclists in summer 2017. A 60 km long route passes through Saimaa's most beautiful scenery, through the islands, bridges and ridges. The voyage between Hurissalo and Lintusalo islands is made on the Norppa II ferryboat. Along the way you will find several restaurants and tourist attractions of Puumala area.

The main route runs along general roads. On the east side of Niinisaari there is a Hätinvirta ferry. The use of the ferry is free of charge and it serves 24 hours, excluding short breaks.
