On August 4th, the Game Music Collective, along with the Symphony Orchestra Vivo's musicians, soprano Iris Candelaria, and the male choir Alvar, will present a concert that’s an absolute highlight of the summer for gamers of all ages. Expect arrangements from both new and classic games, including titles like Angry Birds, Final Fantasy, Skyrim, Remedy’s Alan Wake, and Megaman. Young virtuosos unleashed:
On August 6th, the Nuorta voimaa (Youth power) concert features 13-year-old violin virtuoso Lilja Haatainen. Despite her young age, Lilja is an experienced and award-winning violinist who has performed with orchestras such as the Oulu Sinfonia, Lappeenranta City Orchestra, Radio Symphony Orchestra, and Jena Philharmonic Orchestra. Joining her in this concert are other talented young musicians from the Symphony Orchestra Vivo. Prepare to be dazzled by their youthful brilliance as they perform Kabalevsky’s and Shostakovich’s masterpieces.
