Research shows that spending time walking in a forest has a positive effect on health and wellbeing. The purpose of the guided tour of the 1.5 km Metso wellness trail is to introduce you to the diversity of the Finnish forest and rejuvenate the body and relieve stress.
During this hour-long tour your guide will tell you about the local history and the physical and psychological effects that forests have on people. You will use all your senses throughout the tour and will stop to take in your natural surroundings whilst doing gentle exercises along the way which will lower the blood pressure, boost the mood and increase alertness.
Please ensure to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Most of the trail is easily accessible but it is not completely unobstructed.
