This evening is dedicated to the ecstasy of love and the exultation of music. Mozart’s Overture from The Marriage of Figaro takes the audience on a merry adventure, where lightheartedness and deep passion exist intertwined. Continuing on the theme of love, Korngold’s Violin Concerto brings to the stage the intense romanticism and glamour of the golden age of Hollywood. Star violinist Kristiīe Balanas charms the audience with her interpretation full of fiery passion and joie de vivre.
The evening reaches its climax with Beethoven’s 7th Symphony, with its finale creating an imaginary scene of euphoric dancers whirling around in ecstasy. Melodies throbbing with emotion free the listener from the shackles of mundane life, lulling them into a musical trance. Nova Orchester Wien as lead by chief conductor William Garfield Walker delivers an unforgettable evening – an evening that encourages everyone to be drunk on love.
