Saimaa Saunaday in the beach sauna of Kyyhkylä Manor in Mikkeli
The famous beach sauna of Kyyhkylä Manor on the shore of Lake Saimaa, just 7 km from Mikkeli Market Place!
The log sauna located on the beach of the manor was originally donated from Southern Ostrobothnia. The sauna was named Mattila, after Matti Laurila from Southern Ostrobothnia.
The interiors of the beach sauna were modernised a few years ago, and it now provides a soft heat and a relaxing atmosphere. The sauna can accommodate up to 15 people at a time, and the adjoining room is perfect for cooling off. If you fancy a dip in the freezing lake, there is a hole in the ice nearby. Remember to bring a pair of beach sandals.
Book your own private visit to the sauna for the Saimaa Saunaday weekend. The sauna is available for reservations between 4pm and 8pm.
Price: € 49 / person incl. private use of sauna, hearty salmon soup and rustic rye bread. The soup is served in the historical Manor Hall.
Sauna visits: 1 hour / under 10 people and 2 hours / more than 10 people.
Sauna drinks for an extra fee, starting from € 4 / bottle, towels € 3 each. The beach sauna is a serving area, which means that you are not allowed to bring your own alcoholic beverages.
