Kenkävero

Afternoon

Tertti Manor

  • The first mention of this manor dates back to the 1500s. During the Second World War, in 1939–1945, Mikkeli Headquarters was decentralised and its departments spread among the local manors. Tertti was home to both Intendant General Gustafson and the artillery commander, Major General Svanström, and their staff.

  • You can explore the Walled Garden on guided tours. Request a tour in advance!

Afternoon tea/coffee​  

  • Afternoon tea or coffee with some tasty baked goods at the garden café. The café has a deli that moves into the old stone stables during the summer months. You will also find a fashion store there during the summer.

Arboretum 

  • The park boasts about a hundred different species of tree. Many well-known people have planted their own trees in the arboretum. Request a tour in advance!

  • There has been a restaurant at the renowned Tertti Manor since the 1970s. In 2024, National Geographic put Tertti Manor on its list of 21 places recommended for foodie travellers around the world.
